Why do dishes arrive at different times?

Everything is cooked fresh to order and served as soon as it’s ready, street-food style, so order a few plates and share them across the table.

What does “nukkad” mean?

“Nukkad” is the Hindi word for a street corner. In every Indian neighbourhood, the nukkad is where friends gather and the conversation outlasts the food. Nukkad Café is named after it: our corner is 51 Bell Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City, serving Indo-Chinese and Indian street food.
